 Trey started playing the piano when he was 7 years old. A couple of years later he decided he wanted to learn how to play the guitar. In the sixth grade he joined the school band program and started playing the drums. At this time his parents were getting very nervous. He wanted to play every instrument. In High School he played the piano and started playing the Bass guitar in the School jazz band. He graduated High School still playing percussion in the school band and continued playing all instuments professionally after he graduated. His first song he wrote was Did you know and this song was originally recorded while he was still in High School in an analog studio. Trey started playing on with road with differant entertainers and later formed The Travelers with his friend singer/songwriter/musician Robert Holder. The Travelers have played together for over 20 years and they are still together. Trey opened a studio and has recorded his music as well as other Entertainers music. Trey and his wife own a music store in Texas where he feels right at home with all of the instruments. Trey and his wife are members of the Texas based Cove Country Opry where Trey & The Travelers perform regularly and other Opry's also. Trey has recorded many songs over the years to include Did you, know, Which road leads that way, Picture Perfect, Gift of Love, Trials of Life, South Texas Border, Daddy's Little Girl, Just put your head on my shoulder, What would I do without you, Dance my heart away, This workings not for us, and many more. Several CD's have been recorded since Trey started including the Trey Hooten album, Trials of Life, Gospel Favorites, Various Artist Hits, and he is currently working on new music.
